About ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Ronald Moore from California
Ronald L. Moore has a unique set of knowledge, training, and experience to assist those accused of Driving Under the Influence. He was a Forensic Scientist for over 18 years, analyzed many thousands of blood samples for alcohol by headspace gas chromatography, trained hundreds of police officers in breath alcohol testing, and testified in over 600 DUI cases as an expert witness. He was a reserve Deputy Sheriff for 14 years and an Emergency Medical Technician for 4 years. He graduated Valedictorian from Western State University College of Law, with a Certificate in Criminal Law, senior Managing Editor of the Law Review, and 3 term President of the Criminal Law Society. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Moore is a Standardized Field Sobriety Test instructor, Forensic Sobriety Assessment certified, and has been through Drug Recognition Expert training. He is also an American Chemical Society recognized Assistant Chromatography Instructor. Mr. Moore has written for such publications as Intoxication Test Evidence, 2nd Edition; California Drunk Driving Law; three volumes of Aspatore Publishing’s Behind the Minds series; the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, the Journal of Forensic Sciences, and the Champion (the Journal of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers). He is a frequent and well regarded speaker at legal education and forensic seminars. Mr. Moore has now been recognized, after having completed the required coursework and passing the certification exam, as a Lawyer-Scientist by the American Chemical Society, Chemistry and the Law division.
