About ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Alex Berger from Michigan
Alex has been preparing to be a criminal defense attorney since before high school. During law school, he clerked for defense attorneys and served as a teaching assistant to a criminal law professor. In 2012, Alex graduated from Indiana University Law School with high honors. He attended social work school at the University of Chicago and then took his first law job as a public defender in Iowa. He’s been an elected prosecutor and has done criminal defense in Iowa, Wyoming, and federal and tribal courts. He now dedicates his practice to defending against impaired driving allegations in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
