About ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Caleb Anthony from Minnesota
Caleb Anthony’s path to becoming a criminal defense attorney began in a busy restaurant kitchen, where he started as a dishwasher and worked his way onto the line. Later, he joined a United States Conservation Corps chainsaw crew, living out of a van and developing the precision, toughness, and perseverance that now define his work in the courtroom.
Drawn to science, Caleb earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University, where he made the Dean’s List. He brought that same drive to the University of Oklahoma College of Law, earning a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll, competing on the Mediation Competition Team, and volunteering with the school’s income tax assistance program.
His legal foundation began with a clerkship with a Minnesota District Court Judge, during which he gained firsthand insight into criminal law, juvenile delinquency, and judicial decision-making. He also represented tenants facing eviction, standing beside people in some of their most challenging moments. It was in that advocacy that Caleb discovered his calling: defending those whose futures and freedoms hang in the balance.
That commitment led him to criminal defense, where he began his career as a public defender. He has handled cases ranging from petty misdemeanors to serious felonies and achieved victories at every level, including a not guilty verdict in a first-degree criminal sexual conduct case. His approach blends compassion with meticulous attention to evidence, particularly in forensic science.
Caleb has completed the same Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) training as Minnesota police officers, taught directly by those officers. In addition to completing the rigorous coursework required to become an ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist, he continues to pursue advanced education in forensic science and evidentiary analysis to better serve his clients and the integrity of the justice system.
Outside the courtroom, Caleb’s drive and endurance extend into his personal life. He has completed an Ironman triathlon and finds balance hiking in the outdoors.
